"Great Jazzmaster for a Great Price and Great Sounds."
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Sound:
Sounds like a Jazzmaster with the Single coil, It sounds amazing as my 66 Reissue Jazzmaster, plus with the Humbucker, with the right settings I can make sound as good as Gibson LP or ES 335.
Feature:
No gigbag, that blows but I have a spare one so no problem, The guitar is simpler than a standard jazzmaster, one switch 2 knobs. Wish it has the circuit but thats why its probably so cheap. The tremolo will out of tune this guitar like crazy if you dont know how to use it properly but I never use one. I still like its simple but I like to tamper with the volumes like I do on my '66.
Ease of Use:
Like I said 2 knobs, tone and volume and a 3 way switch and a tremolo
Quality:
Ewwwww, the action was real high, with those nasty Fender strings (.09)had to lower it and smacked on some DR 10 to get that real Jazzmaster sound. Finish was flawless, I got the black with the mint green. What a beauty. The neck is smooth with the Gloss finish but I felt like like a fender, no difference.
Manufacturer Support:
I register it and I hope I will get help if anything is to happen.
Value:
Its ok, I needed a back up and a experimental and a anytime guitar and thats what I got
The Wow Factor:
It will call to you, with the humbucker and all black is beautiful but after having a '66, this jazzmaster looks dull with no block inlays, no neck binding or not even a Brown Shell pickguard or the little jazz logo next to the F.
Overall:
Wow, this jazzmaster is great, I wouldn't gig it but I think it would hold up. I was planning on replacing my 66 Reissue jazzmaster bridge with a D'Marzio HB on the bridge but now I wont have to.I just got it but Im sure it will last for a long time, this is basically a starter guitar with a Humbucker but I just bought it to experiment without modding my 66 Reissue and also to jam without worrying about damaging it
