"A good bass"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Sound:
The stock pickups were not good enough for me. So I upgraded to Seymour Duncans. I installed a Seymour Duncan Vintage P-Bass SPB-1 in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan SPB3 Quarter Pound P-Bass in the bridge. However the stock pickups are fine. But they both sound the same to me. But with the Seymour Duncans you get a punchier sound and better range.
Feature:
Best features: The neck,I can adjust the truss rod and get very little fret buzz. The extra big bridge is nice.
The body alder which is ok, much better than agathis in terms of sound and quality. I wish the frets were stainless steel, no guitar company that I know makes guitars and basses with those, bummer.
Like the vintage tuners.
Least useful feature hmmmmmmm can't think of one.
Ease of Use:
Very easy to play and get the sounds that I want.
Quality:
The alder wood is ok, over time alder gets too soft. Brand new the alder in this bass is very good quality so no complaints. This is a very great priced bass and the quality is good.
Manufacturer Support:
I got a bad bass from SameDayMusic and they sent me another bass and paid for the shipping. They even lowered the price cause another website had a cheaper bass.
Value:
This item is very much worth what you pay for.
The Wow Factor:
The wow factor is the sustain and this bass is just fun to play. Fender basses made in Mexico are cheap and you can upgrade the pickups to Seymour Duncans.
Overall:
This is a good bass. For what you pay this much better than the Yamaha RBX170 that I use to own.
