    "hot amp"

    Feature:
everything. I use it to practice late at night by plugging my head phones into it. Then it sucks. But I am just practicing.

    Quality:
made well, hasn't completely crapped out yet.

    Value:
It is better than the Harvard I had.

    Desirability:
    mainly good sound, practical.

    Sound:
Either the amp has deteriorated or my hearing has deteriorated. It doesn't quite sound like it did when I first bought it. Then, it sounded hot. However, that is directly in front of the amp. within 5, maybe 10 feet. If you stand up, it sounds considerably different. Keep in mind, this is in my small 10 X 13 bedroom. After 9 months of cranking my guitar through the amp at 8 or 10 it seems to have deteriorated. But I also put thicker strings on my guitar. I need the original size. Still, at lower volume, it sounds great, and on a humbucked guitar, use the bridge pickup, turn the treble and mid up, bass almost all the way down, and turn on the distortion stage to about 1.5 to 2 gain, vol up around 5- 10, it is one hot sound rig. If you use the neck pick up or both pickups, the sound is muddy to annoyingly rattly. Not in a good way.

    "Wanna hear the truth?"

    Feature:
It has volume control, (duh) Treble, middle, and high tone adjustments (which don't do too much), It has an overdrive channel too. But man, is it sensitive. Ya turn the vol. to 3 and you'd think you'd blow the fuse. (which I did. lol) I thought the aux-in jacks for the stereo or whatever were useless. I mean, ya wanna play along to music? Get a sterio system. The headphone jack is one thing I used a lot. Great for practicing at 2 'O clock in the morning when you can't sleep and you're parents are asleep.

    Quality:
It looks awesome, and well built as far as knob design and durability. Still, other amps I have seen are even tankier. (that's good & bad) For me, the amp lasted for about a year. (*simply because I was a dumb freshman lol) DO NOT pump up the vol. all the way, use a Gibson Les Paul, and use a Boss Metal Zone petal on full bass with the vol. all the way up, at the same time. You'll blow the fuse. (*That's what I did.) It is a great durable amp otherwise and should last a lifetime if not pushed too far.

    Value:
It is a little spendy, I think. I would get a different 15 watt amp for the same (or about) the same price if I were you.

    Desirability:
All in all, It looks cooler than other 15 watters I've seen, but It sounds like girls at a Backstreet Boys concert. (really crappy)

    Sound:
It sounds pretty crappy, but for a 15 watt amp, it's OK. Nice little amp for beginners. Way to ear-piercing for me. I owned this amp a few years back, but I now own an a different brand of amp, which sounds much, much better. BUT, if you're a hardcore Fender fan, I would recommend the Frontman II 15R instead. The added reverb on that amp does a lot, for only a little bit more money.

    Overall:
I wouldn't sell it, but I wouldn't buy another one ever either. I would so get a Crate. I own an MX15-R now and it is superior in sound and rich in harmonics. It looks cool too. It's has identical features as the Frontman, just minus the aux. in jacks. It's a lot better than this amp., & it's about the same price to boot.
