Style of Music: anything--mostly rock, blues, classical.

    Experience: Hobbyist--1yr.

    "Offset Jaguar awesomeness."

    Sound:
This guitar has AMAZING sound and tonal capabilities/range. You can get bassy, somewhat acoustic-like, tone from the Rhythm settings--excellent for, well, rhythm playing... and then the lead will get you a comletely different sound...the neck pickup will sound deeper--a little punchy... the bridge sounds bright and has this unique twang to it. Flip on the Thin-switch and check out the other diverse tones you get without the bassier frequencies... and when both the neck and rhythm are switched on you get no hum, and interesting setting.... You can have two completely different settings with the lead-rhythm switching...and fine tune that even more with the volume and tone.... just amazing. This thing really growls like a Jaguar. Oh-- get MINIMUM 11's for this...it's a short scale...9's and 10's don't work with it... and if you want something different check out Flatwounds...
    Feature:
It came with a BEATIFUL case, extra Fender Flatwounds made specifically for the Jag, manuals and that stuff... On the guitar you have the awesome/amazing/wow lead-rhythm switching, a very very good whammy bar, with a trem-lock system, in case you break a string while playing... The 24" shorter-than-normal scale is AMAZING... anyone who plays this will no doubt think this is one of- in not the best playing neck... There is also the Fender Mute...really cool, and kind of useful if you have the bridge cover on, but more gimmicky as you can't set how much pressure (how much you mute it). This guitar, though a little on the heavy side--EXTREMELY comfortable...offset, just looks great too. If there are any things I think they could easily improve upon-- the bridge, though works great with the whammy bar, has terrible saddles...so, if you play VERY HARD, the strings might slip a little, sometimes getting the strings out of tune--but this is only a problem when not set up right. An easy fix for this, besides getting it setup right, is just to buy some mustang saddles...easy fix...one big groove....Not necessary though...I might buy'em later on if I have problems.
    Ease of Use:
Doesn't apply too much to guitars--easy of use, but I guess you have to read the manual on this one...because it looks complicated at first...in reality it is really simple...just spend some time getting to know it. They could have made it easier by just throwing in a Gibson style switch to select either the neck, both, or bridge...instead of an on/off for each pickup. The way the whole guitar works is just great though... two completely different settings, well done... The whammy bar is just great too
    Quality:
The quality is American Fender...not much more could be asked for in the neck, finish, fit, etc... Two complaints-- 1. the switching for the rhythm pickup sometimes doesn not turn on or turns off on its own...but that's because I bought mine used--never seen this problem in a new guitar... probably just going to replace the inexpensive switch...no biggie... 2. I'm afraid I might loose the whammy bar or the bridge cover...as I take them on and off all the time...but that's not the guitars fault... and the saddle deal with the strings slipping (again no problem if you set up right/get mustand saddles).
    Manufacturer Support:
I wouldn't know about dealing with fender....but haven't heard anything bad about 'em... Again...set it up right...or get mustang saddles. and don't buy a used guitar without testing all the switches...lol...
    Value:
This guitar is awesome...I got a preety good deal on mine... but it's still very expensive... if you compare it with other American Fenders, it is in reality, just about right...I still think it could be a little cheaper... $1,400?
    The Wow Factor:
This guitar is hottt... woah man this thing after a good cleaning looks AMAZING....wow...it's BEAUTIFUL... if you're wondering about this...just do a google search for pics...wow...this thing is beautiful. Offset contour body=wow.
    Overall:
I am completely satisfied with this guitar...no regrets...beautiful...great sounds...doesn't go out of tune (well...unless you ABUSE the whammy bar). Probably keep it for life... It opened my mind to many new and different sounds and tones...this works well distorted too...don't go cutting it up please... Remember--at least 11's....set it up well... and if you have saddle problems, get mustang saddles. A+...
