"Standard Fat Strat with Floyd Rose"

Feature:
I like the Floyd on this guitar. It is nice and heavy if you take it out and inspect it. My strat came with a Pau Ferro fretboard. It is much lighter in color than rosewood and is an excellent color match along with my arctic white finish and the chrome locking tuners and floyd. There is not one flaw with this strat and I like it more than a 2004 American I had recently that I returned in favor of this guitar.

Quality:
The quality of mine is top of the line from Mexico. The person who put mine together obviously had great pride in his work and took care in assembly. No stripped screws, intonation was dead on out of the box. Action was set very low at 2/32" @ the 12th fret with zero fret buzz! Neck is perfect and true. All holes drilled and routing in the body was done neatly and in the right places. Paint is thick and flawless. I lucked out on this one. Quality varies for the MIM as well as American axes. If you get a lemon send it back and get a perfect one.

Value:
As far as value, $450 for this guitar is a very fair price in my opinion. Since I will not sell mine it is now priceless.

Desirability:
This model may be a sleeper, quality is high. I took mine all apart and inspected everything and then determined this this guitar kicks ass.

Sound:
I rate the sound of this guitar highly since there is no one sound. It is very adjustable in terms of having the Floyd floating or flat on the body, pickup height, switching choices, amps, effects, attack etc. I am currently using the stock pickups set pretty low, all 3 are 5/64" above the pickguard, it sounds very good and has a clean look. I have the Floyd flat on the body using the stock 3 springs in back /|\ tightening the 2 screws equally so the back edege of the claw is 14/32" away from the edge of the body cavity. This stays in tune perfect but set in this manner the Floyd will be a little stiff and of course only go down, not up. If I want a floating floyd to pull up and push down I use my Kramer Striker.

Support:
I have never rang up Fender for support.

Overall:
Overall I am very impressed with this guitar. I think it will last a lifetime with proper care as I have decided this one will be a keeper. I have played for 15 years and have 5 other guitars and this one is a very nice addition. I like the swimming pool routing under the pickguard and the Floyd Rose. I will put together an SSS pickguard soon and have some fun with that and rock out. I think this is the best Fender Standard model by far. Rock on.
