"Great Value on a great guitar."

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
The features on this guitar are more than I expected. The S1 switch pot is very very cool, and the 5 way selector and the Humbucker added with the S1 gives you an huge range of tones to play with. As I said before this guitar is beautiful and it plays great right out of the box. On the Sienna Sunburst the Ash looks great, it also came out of the box not only perfectly playable, but the finish is unreal. It looks like a very well built guitar that like my SG and Gibson Les Paul will stay in my studio forever.

    Quality:
The Quality in my first weeks of owning the guitar looks to be outstanding and looks great on the wall right next to my SG Heritage Cherry and my Gold topped Les Paul. Or maybe I should say the quality looks very close to the same on those three guitars.

    Value:
I did not expect to pick up a Strat that would sound this good, and play this well for this price. I have to say if I had run across the American Deluxe HSS Strat I very likely would have bought it, but the sunburst on this guitar is unique to this series so...

    Desirability:
The Sienna Sunburst is what sold me on this guitar. I was looking at a American Deluxe Series Strat, with the three color sunburst, and looked over and saw this and picked one up right away. If they had this color on the American Deluxe Strat, I would have bought it, but this had a Humbucker on it too so I was blown away right off the bat.

    Sound:
The guitar really is amazingly versatile. I have the Sienna Sunburst and the finish is flawless. I played this guitar in my Vox and compared the sound to my Gibson SG Standard, and on the Vox the Fender flat out kick but. Leaving the SG wanting, but when I switched over to my Marshal things changed. The Gibson had a much more full deep rich tone, and left the fender sounding a little flat. I love the guitar though and if I had to come up with a con it would be that I would like a little hotter pickups.

    Ease of Use:
The guitar is very intuitive and the learning curve on it for anyone who's been around electrics is very simple. I love the sound of this guitar even though on most of the stuff I play I would lean towards one of the Gibson's, but with the clarity even when being played through heavy overdrive is great. Clean you can go from the standard Fender twang to a smooth jazzy sound at the flick of a switch. The set up right out of the box was perfect, and you can bend the heck out of the strings.

    Overall:
I'll keep this guitar in my line up forever. I'll play it at home at jam sessions and sometime maybe a small venue. But this is one that I will keep. I might buy the American Deluxe Strat to go along with it, but this one is mine.
