"AWESOME BASS"
Feature:The one thing this bass has that I love is a stopper that stops the pot in the middle of its range. This way i know exactly where the middle is and where I want to go from there. It comes with a gig bag.
Quality:
Great finish, beautiful colors. Built well, theres no loose parts, or anything that seems as though it would easily break. I actually was in a jazz band and used this for every show, and it never let me down. Truly roadworthy.
Value:
This bass is priced just right. It isn't too expensive, and it isn't too cheap.
Desirability:
The color is chose is great, and the tortiseshell pickguard really adds finese. The neck, man, it is great. As soon as i start playing, I'm awed at its playibility. I dont like to stop playing when I'm playing this.
Sound:
I don't like giving anything a 10 because each player is different. This bass for me is a 10. The sound is amazing, using the pickup selector knob, you can dial in many tones. Also, being active, it has an onboard treble and bass controls as well as a mid range control. They are great. The treble adds true top end, while the bass adds true bottom end. It's not like some basses where the tone control takes off some of the top, this is the real deal. As for the midrange, you can go from agressive metal to smooth jazz by twisting a knob.
Ease of Use:
This is definately a 10 no matter who you are. It is so easy to dial in a tone. All you need is your brain to tell you what sound you want, then your fingers to move the appropriate knob. Also, the action is good, and most importantly, is has an AMAZING neck. It plays like a dream. My friend has a Rickenbacker bass, and we both agree the Fender blows it away.
Support:
Fender is great, but I've never had to deal with them yet, and I've had this bass over a year.
Overall:
This is an honest review, theres no better bass for me. I'd never ever replace this bass unless it got destroyed by a fire or something.
