"Short size, but huge sound!"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Feature:
Did not come with any features except fot a tiny hex wrench to adjust the saddles. What more does one expect from a bass of this quality and low price?
Quality:
The Mustang bass is very well made. My only complaint is that the tuners loosen too easily. I plan to replace these soon. Although the strings that came on this bass are very high quality, I changed them to flatwounds with the same configuration (40, 60, 75, 95).
Value:
This bass is worth every cent that it costs. You get a lot of bass for the money.
Desirability:
I needed a short-scale bass due to a hand condition that worsens with time playing my long-scale basses. It seems to alleviate my condition aggravated by long finger stretching.
Sound:
This short scale bass is definitely not short on sound. It is Fender all the way. With just the volume control and tone control, enough sound can be achieved for any style of music being played. By my careful selection of my amp's settings I truly can get any sound that I have in my head. This bass sounds outstanding!
Support:
I have not had a need to contact Fender but from what I understand, they are a good company to deal with.
Overall:
Because I love having the best of everything, I can picture myself purchasing another short-scale bass in the not to distant future. It might just be the other offered color. Other than the tuners on the vintage-looking headstock, I like everything about this bass.
