"Well-built speaker with decent sound"
Feature:a volume knob, good to have
Quality:
Seems well made and solid. Made of metal, good solid grill...
Value:
Very good- a solid speaker and amp for reasonable money.
Desirability:
If you need it, this seems to be the thing in this price range. Plays loud, sound good- if your doing a field record and want to check out your signal, this will do.
Sound:
The sound is a bit mid-rangy to bassy. Good speakers if you're sure of your record chain and mainly want to hear that you have signal going to record without num or noise. This sound is not surprising considering there is just one driver- a mid-range at that. It can play fairly loudly, which is good, but it distorts at the highest volume.
Support:
Haven't needed support.
Overall:
I'd like a bit more treble in the same package, and I would never want for more in this type of speaker for this use. It will never replace the little Genelecs, but for this money, I could buy 4 or 5 of these for the price of one Geney!
