"Wow"

Feature:
I love the split block inlays on the neck - very unique and rather cool.....

Quality:
came to me clean and ready to rock

Value:
Little costly - but hey it's the 50th for the V and Gibson did well with this one....looking forward to 10/2008 for the matching Explorer....

Desirability:
it's just a cool axe....love the brimstone finish on it...

Sound:
I've owned an SG since '79 and finally decided to get another (Gibson) guitar when I saw this one - the crunch of the pickups thru my 'ol 68 Marshall half stack is great -it plays well clean, but exceeds when when I want to do a Zep, Rush or Tool tune - you name it (it screams)...the sustain is great and the fretboard and neck profile is a balance between the 50s and 60s - the string bending is great and the nature feel is awesome - like having a another arm...almost plays itself....a boatload of sustain......

Ease of Use:
learning curve ?....it's a Gibson...if you can play an electric you can play this axe....the way the neck "kicks" up into your hands when you have strap it into the standing position and the light weight make it effortness to play.....

Support:
Was in Nashville last week - nice to visit the factory - but didn't need their help....if you are in TN please see Jack Daniels and Gibson = it is worth your time.....

Overall:
Only need the 10/2008 Explorer and my life will be complete.....
