    "The one guitar you"

    Feature:
I like the weight and feel of this guitar, but wish it had 24 frets.

On mine the finish flawless... the quality and workmanship is one of the best I have seen.

    Value:
It is a little high on the price, but worth it for its sound and quality workmanship.

I picked it up... played and I bought it. This is one of the best guitars I have ever owned!

    Sound:
It does every thing I want it to do and sounds great doing it.

I have had no issues with this guitar.

    Overall:
This guitar will be in my collection for a long time, I prefer 24 frets on a guitar... that

    "Sweet Axe for Sweetbone!"

    Quality:
Are they ever gonna figure out how to keep the gold finish from fading away? It's too sweet!

    Value:
Could be cheaper. For $2500 it should have my name engraved in the fretboard!

    Desirability:
She's my #1 lady. My girlfriend is jealous!

    Sound:
I have an '89 Les Paul Custom Tobacco Sunburst. Sometimes I just like to look at it. It is truly a work of art.

    Support:
    Never had an issue.

    Overall:
I will NEVER sell any of my Les Pauls, like Tony says, "Theyyyyy're GREAT!"

"Looking for the best in it's price range and even higher priced, this Les Paul is tops."

    Feature:
I don't use any thing special. Almost any amp. will work and it will sound great.

    Value:
    Tops in it's field.

    Sound:
I have five guitars. Two are electric. One is the Gibson Les Paul Custom and the other is a Fender. If the Fender wasn't so expensive, I would throw sit away and just use the Les Paul. There is nothing you can't do with the Les Paul Custom and the sound is absol. the very best in it's field. Even for a beginner, this guitar is A O.K. and easy to learn on. If you're really, truely interested in playing a guitar and you want to hear the best, this is the guitar for you!!!!!!

    "The Ultimate Glam Rock machine"

    Feature:
It came with a nice case, thats all you really need anyway. I like the way the controls are set, so that each pickup has a separate tone and volume knob. perfect for the kill switch effects.

    Quality:
Normally, Gibsons kind of are inconsistent, but my 1989 black beauty is built as well as any guitar ive ever played. All of the cosmetic flaws are from 8 years of me owning it and playing it a lot. still in very good shape. i always use a backup, but tend to use other guitars for traveling. this thing is irreplacable. never goes out of tune.

    Value:
It's too expensive to buy new, but my guitar has given me 8 years of enjoyment and this paul will give me many more years of that. ill never sell it, it's impossible to replace. The ultiimate glam rock machine indeed.

    Desirability:
Ultimate glam rock machine. some think its gaudy, i think it's a sexy beast of a guitar. and yes, it sounds awesome.

    Sound:
It sounds huge warm and sustainy, like a Les Paul should. Lots of midrange and sustain as opposed to treble, but it cuts through well. I play lots of heavy rock and this black beauty rules.

    Support:
ive dealt with them many times and they've been good.

    Overall:
it's irreplacable, but i use other guitars for variety and to save wear and tear on my black beauty.

"Protest Gibson's Insane Prices: Buy Epi's; Washburns; etc"

    Feature:
The features are "good" but certainly NOT worth the "money"! Get an Epiphone, or Samick, or Washburn...& re-wire, re-pot, & put $200. worth of new "Burstbuckers" in any of them, & you've just saved yourtself $almost (in some case) '$2,000.00!!'

    Desirability:
Les Pauls look like "Violins" (Very "Square" looking-!)& "sunbursts" only make 'that' worse-! I'd go to an SG-type, but with unequal horns, flat sides (Bound); etc...& contoured back.

    Sound:
Constipated, or narrow-sounding neck pu; & the bridge pu...is almost 'indescribably'(!) "nausiating"! Ugh!! ...Think of "scretching"; then picture 'that' coming from a: 5" speaker, in a cheep solid-state amp, & you get the picture. (As if the "neck" pu wasn't "narrow" ENUFF!!

    Overall:
Can't "afrford" to trade it , or sell it!
