"Elegant and Fierce! Well worth the $"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
I love the look and feel of this guitar, I think they went a touch overboard with the gold colored fret wire, but really what more could you ask for in a Les Paul?

    Quality:
The only thing that wasn't great was the intonation, but I would have had to change that anyway for my particular string set up (D'Aquisto 335)

    Value:
This is a very expensive guitar, but a limited eddition and sure to keep its value and appriciate over time. a solid investment

    Desirability:
Sexxy beast! I have the much sought after "Desert Burst" and people are always asking what kind of Les Paul that is.

    Sound:
This is one TONE monster! and talk about sustain! I have hade mine for almost a year and I love it more and more every time I hear it! I own 8 electric guitars and this one is the most dynamic one. It responds to finger picking amazingly well. This thing makes great jazz tones (just select both PU's and drop the treb out of the bridge until it sounds like an ES 175)

    Support:
Don't know yet, I havn't had any problems.

    Overall:
This is a wonderful example of everything Gibson stands for, innovation, beauty, classic sound. It has to be one of their finest developements over the last 20 years. It has definatly become one of my prize guitars, and I have NO plans to ever get rid of it!

"Vulgar Display of a Ridiculous Amount of Power"

    Feature:
Features? Uhm, doesn't really have features other than amazing, and that's more of a characteristic...

    Quality:
I could honestly beat someone to death with this guitar, then proceed to tear out some blazingly fast shredding riffs with this beast. I'll probably have this guitar when I get to Hell, if I don't then I'll pick another one up on the way.

    Value:
I'd pay double the price for this guitar, it's just that amazing. Think Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, and John 5 all sitting down to make a guitar, would you pay anything for it? I know I would.

    Desirability:
It's a Gibson. Don't make me explain this, if you don't understand, you never will.

    Sound:
This guitar has a ridiculously fat tone, that allows for crazy shredding, rippin' riffs, and some all around mind-blowing guitar sounds. The only thing I can imagine that would sound better is if I put EMG-81/85 in this punk, its just absurd.

    Ease of Use:
Haha, this is quite possibly the best guitar I've ever played...actually, just kidding, this is the best guitar I've ever played. The fretboard is unnaturally responsive, which does take some getting used to as it requires a very light touch, even playing past the 12th fret. I've played plenty of different guitars, even the SG equivalent of this, and none of them, including my Floyd Rose Ibanez have playability quite like this. I just don't have enough good things to say about this guitar.

    Support:
You don't need support for this guitar, just the standard 6-month tune-up if you really need it. I haven't had this guitar set-up in probably 9 months, and I'd really rather not take it to any of the guitar technicians I know of. If you need support for this guitar, honestly, just return it, you don't need to be playing an instrument of this caliber.

    Overall:
Overall this guitar pretty much epitomizes what playing music is all about. You can express yourself in pretty much any way you want, just as long as it isn't in an emo way, the guitar will probably tear through your chest and devour your heart, then bore it's way through to your brain to remove the world of you. It's amazing how much good you can do with this guitar, and how much good it will do you. You will never play a better guitar.

"Nice sounding guitar, poor quality and over priced"

    Feature:
    Gorgeous wood. Standard LP features

    Quality:
Very poor quality, especially for a $3,000 guitar. Looked at three Supremes, all had quality problems. Own several guitars (Martin, Fender Strat, G&L commanche, PRS Custom 22), none had any quality problems. The LP is the most expensive guitar that I own, and is the only guitar that I own with quality problems. Most of the problems that I have seen, including my own guitar, involve the neck and binding. Binding is not flush to the body and/or neck of the guitar. Neck is mis-shaped - not smooth on back, poor carving with what can be best described as indentations in the wood. Poor neck joints, with excess glue and/or gaps.

    Value:
Due to the high price and poor quality, you are better off buying just about any other brand

    Desirability:
Nice looking guitar (very high quality woods). Couldn't rate it higher, because it's one of those guitars that good from far, but far from good. As soon as you look at it closer you start to see the quality problems.

    Sound:
Sounds great - Full fat sounding LP

    Support:
Called to get some replacement parts. Customer service was very helpfull and received parts within two weeks

    Overall:
The guitar sounds great, but buyer beware. Not all supremes are created equal, and Gibson has some serious quality problems. I love the sound of this guitar, and plan on taking it to an luthier to fix some of the quality problems - don't trust Gibson to fix it properly.
