"I actually own the Premium Plus standard."
Feature:Well, this is a pretty no-nonsense guitar. No fancy shmancy computerized effects or whammy bars. But I am a firm believer that when playing guitar, less is definitely more. You have a body, a neck, a bridge, and tailpiece, 2 humbuckers, a toggle switch, a headstock, and some tuning pegs. In terms of aesthetics, well mine is the cherry sunburst top and the flame is breathtaking. Looking at it makes me think there will never be a more perfect guitar. From the general design of the body to the incredible finish, there is nothing better
Value:
Although they are no doubt the best made, I've always said that Gibson is too expensive. I paid almost 3000.00 for my premium plus. I am a huge stickler in that you get what you pay for but DAMN! I honestly believe that these guitars could be sold for a LITTLE less. I think a fair price would be 1000.00 to 1300.00 for the standards and 1500.00 to 1800.00 for the premium plus and customs. The studios really should be under a thousand and the epiphones need to be around the Fender mexican strat price range.
Desirability:
When I walked into the music store I honestly had only went in there to buy strings. When I laid eyes on that guitar I swear it felt like it was literally calling my name. The next thing I knew I was filling out the paper work. The "sex" appeal? Lets put it this way, this is the "Catherine Zeta Jones" of guitars.
Sound:
Are you kidding? There's nothing better. This is a very versatile guitar that will play any style. Rhythm players will appreciate the thick muscular sound and lead players will love how sharp the highs will sound. Not to mention sustain forever and ever. I like the new burstbucker pro pickups. They recapture that classic 50's humbucker sound yet are waxed to avoid any unwanted feedback.
Support:
Never needed it. Isn't that what you want?
Overall:
What can I say? This is without question the holy grail of guitars. It certainly is the crown jewel of my collection and I cannot EVER imagine parting with this one. Someone else said this before but I have to agree with him. If my house was on fire, I would honest to God risk my life to save this guitar. It means THAT much to me.

"It's the real deal..."
Feature:It's your basic LP. What can I say? I like the pikcuups, they sound great. I really like the case, it is a super deluxe case and is probably worth about $200 by itself.
Quality:
I had to downrate the axe here. Now the basic quality is extremeley good, very good wood, both on the top,the back, and the neck. However there are a few dings here and there, the top of the headstock, on the "curl", is a little fuzzy. The nut has a small ding on one side. The fret inlays are poor, the third fret inlay has a ding, and others have excessive fill, and one fret inlay has a score mark. However the overall fundamental quality is very very good, all of the woods are excellent, the top is flawless, the back is flawless, and the neck is flawless.
Value:
This is a good deal, not great. You are buying the Gibson LP name. However, if youv'e got that itch, and you know what I mean, just pick up the phone and whip out the plastic, I think it's worth it.
Desirability:
what can I say? If you've read this far you don't have to ask...
Sound:
When I got the axe from sameday it was brand new. I mean you got the new guitar smell, that glue smell, out of the case. It sounds OK but I think that it needs to age to really get the good tone. So I can't rate it really good right now, but I think that with time it will mature to a really good sound. I love the feeling of having a guitar that will age and grow with me and this is that guitar.
Overall:
It's my baby, I'll go to my grave with it.

"Angelic guitar, but pretty damn expensive"
Feature:Great control, versatility Needs a toggle for coil tapping though
Quality:
Very fine craftsmanship
Value:
Amazing guitar
Desirability:
I love this guitar, but it's too damn expensive
Sound:
Sounds very close to the vintage 59 Les Paul
Overall:
This is one of the best guitars out there, no doubt about it. For even better sound, customize the pickups, add a toggle for coil-tapping and re-fret it to your taste.
