Style of Music: rock, top 40, oldies, country

    Location: Pascagoula, MS

"Remembering the Beatles and Ed Sullivan...."

    Feature:
good, except the wooden bridge. If you forget to turn the Bigsby, the bridge will "float" away. I wish it had individual adjustments for the strings like my Gibson 775, 335 and Les Paul.

    Quality:
Cosmetics are a 10. I always keep a spare close by, usually my 335. The stap buttons are always a problem, but are reto cool. I have shimmed mine and glued them.

    Value:
    If you like the retro.........

    Desirability:
    Looks great

    Sound:
good, if you like the "old" sound of the past

    Support:
It took me two years to get this one. I've had it about three years. No problems except the bridge and the strap buttons. I put some small pieces of two faced tape under the bridge and it stays in place. I used to use clarinet reeds back in the 60's.

    Overall:
My first guitar was a '64 strat. I "upgraded to a '66 Country Gentleman (duh..) I played it until '71. switched to my 335. The 335 is a better guitar, but I have fond memories of the Gretsch. I sold it to pay some medical bills in '75. I would probably not replace it because I own 12 pretty good guitars.
