I had auditioned the XK1 in the store but when I got it home, I set it up next to my restored B3 for the ultimate test. I was very shacked as to how close it really is. The vibrato chorus, the percussion, the drawbars are all dead on. Even the Leslie effect is second only to the real thing and sounds as good as my 142 Leslie with mikes on it. I was considering a motion sound unit but honestly, the diference would not be worth the cost or the extra set up. If you need the real deal, short of bringing the 450 lb monster, nothing is better. The XK3 may be a better choice for organist that need 2 manuals but I have heard that the Leslie is not a realistic. Then again, if you need that much organ, you may want a real Leslie anyway. If you are like most giging keyboardists, the XK1 is all you are likely to need.
