    "Good harps"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Sound:
While I haven't been playing a very long time, I have played many different brands of harps. Of all of them, the Special 20 is to best for me. They have great tone for a harp out of the box and they bend easily. You can spend big bucks on custom harps and I'm sue they are worth it, but for a great stock harp, get the Special 20.
    Feature:
The case is okay as well as the belt, but I already had a better case so I don't use either of them .
    Ease of Use:
    Bends easily
    Quality:
Good sound for a stock harp.
    Manufacturer Support:
    Haven't needed it.
    Value:
typical for the product and accessories.

"Price is getting too high for what you getSamDat"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Sound:
This is the only harp I have played so I don't know how it measures up to others. But I do own 11 special 20s. Out of the box the pitch is off on most of the reeds. They are all off in the same reeds so it is a manufacturing issue. Normally they are sharp and the slightest condensation in the harp will cause the reeds to stick. I don't spit in my harps. I rinse and dry them every time I play and I keep my head upright to avoid saliva in the harp and I rinse my mouth with water during practice or rehearsals. They grab your whiskers because the metal casing is poorly made. I take them apart and bend the flanges on the ends down. That way the flanges seat flush on the reed plates when screwed down and my whiskers can not get caught.
    Quality:
I think they are sloppily made. The covers are not formed properly (see above) and they leave screws out of the reed plate that hold the reeds to the comb. There are threaded holes for 8 screws and they always leave 2 out.
    Manufacturer Support:
I've written to Hohner several times thru their website asking about replacement reed plates and product information and they never respond...never
    Value:
When the street price was $18-$22 they were a fair price. For some reason the street price has climbed to $35 which is a lot of money for this harp.
