"Pro Harp in A"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
I LOVE the sound of this harp when really getting into a song. It is loud, full, and full of color. So far the harp is still completely in tune after a month of playing almost every day. I cant say the same for my Lee Oskars (both have gone out of tune prematurely).
I really like the black finish. I didn't think it would make a difference, but it really does look sharp.
Ease of Use:
It was a little more difficult to get the lower notes to bend at first, but after practice, I can hit far more accurate bends than any of my harps. Something about this one that seems much more precise.
I am very pleased with the quality of this harp. It just feels like a quality instrument. I think it should last many years. The case is an added bonus. It holds the harp firmly with no rattle.
It was a little pricey, but the same with all harps I was looking at. They have all gone up in recent years.
I purchased this harp because I needed one in A and also wanted to try a different type. I have two Lee Oskars, a Special 20, and a Blues Harp. Of the ones I own, the Special 20 is my favorite, but after a hard night of playing a reed is no longer playable (not bad for 5 years old). The Pro Harp is a very close second.
I thought the protruding reed plates would be a big deal. You get used to them. It is not as comfortable to play as the 20 or the LO, but not unplayable by any stretch, just different.
