"THE head"
Feature:I like the graphic eq the best and the freqencies it uses. I do wish that the High Pass knob was more highs and less high mids.
Quality:
The 5500 is built like a rock. It has no loose parts or anything that rattles while you play.
Value:
This is an awesome deal. This head sounds GREAT for how much it is.
Sound:
This head has great crisp but still punchy tone.It has a nice low rumble that is still definite sounding. It also has a very full surrounding sound that I like. No matter what style you play this head sounds awesome.
Support:
This company is very easy to work with and easy get what you need fast.
Overall:
I will use this head as long as possible and will always keep one even if I have something nicer.

"Comparison in new Hartke 5500 Amp and 7 year old Hartke 3500 Amp."
Feature:None
Quality:
It is built nice but the qulity of performance is not up to par.
Value:
Very Comparable
Desirability:
It looks desirable.
Sound:
I have a Hartke 3500 Amp that is about 7 years old and the power/potency of this amp was much better than the new Hartke 5500 Amp. I am not sure if it was defected or just built that way. Nonetheless, the power should be more. I had to have the volume on the 5500 amp at 8 before it would match the volume of the 3500 which was on 3 1/2. The 5500 amp should be pushing 330 watts at 8ohms and the 3500 should only be pushing 250 watts at 8ohms. I was not pleased with the punch or the performance of this 5500 amp. I am returning it immediatley. However, I am very pleased with the old 3500 amp.
Support:
Yes the company was easy to reach and very cooperative.
