Sound:
Best sound of every amp in the store. Set controls flat, turn up volume, see what happens. Ready for any gig, large or small.
Feature:
The most useful features are the lack of them. Thank you Hartke for the simple layout. Nothing is worse than 40 knobs on your amp. This thing sounds great with just volume, bass, mid, and treble. The way it is supposed to be.
Ease of Use:
Set controls flat. Turn up your bass. Crank the amp. Be happy you've found your sound.
Quality:
I checked the quality of construction and workmanship as best I could in the Music Store. All knobs had a sturdy, tight feel. All features were rugged and appeared built for the road...like the old Peavey stuff used to be. I really liked this amp and cranked it to see if it could hang with my normal stage volume. I found myself wanting to thank Hartke for making a loud amp that really is loud. When they say 1000 watts, they're not lying or cheating. This thing blows all the rest away.
Manufacturer Support:
I've given up on all other brands. I play hotel and corporate gigs. Every room I play sucks acoustically so I need an amp that sounds natural and has serious response. I usually don't have time nor the desire to mess with a bunch of freaky knobs with names like enhance, nuance, contour, or whatever. I need to plug in and go. This amp does that with a simple style and grace that is what we bass players need.
Value:
I'd buy this amp if it cost twice what it does so I'm happy it is affordable.
The Wow Factor:
The design features are as simple as they get. I agree with Victor Wooten who says he loves how simple these amps are to use. Who wants to constantly be walking back to the amp to make adjustments? Set it and forget it. That's the bottom line.

Sound:
Works great with my string bass as well as with my 6 string active electric bass. All the sounds are good and usable without OCD tweaking to find a good setting! The only thing I can think of to make this a better product is to make it lighter!
Feature:
Huge clean sound for a reasonable price. Hartke durability (my last amp lasted 12 years!)
Ease of Use:
Even my saxophonist noticed I had a better sound last gig.
Quality:
I bought my last Hartke amp (7000 series) in 1998.
The Wow Factor:
It's a bass amp...if I wanted flash I'd put Christmas lights on it. Kind of boring but on a lot of jobs I have to cover up the lights anyway so it's all good.
Overall:
I will keep this one until I wear it out like the last one.

Sound:
Good, quality clean sound.

As easy as it gets. Adjustments can be made in seconds.
Quality:
I have had my LH500 for approximately 4 years without any problem. I just bought the LH1000 and hope I have the same experience.
Manufacturer Support:
Have not had to use.
Value:
Excellent value for the money.

Excellent Amp. I also own a Hartke LH500. I bought this amp to Bi-amp using my 410 cabinet along with my 215 cabinet. The simplicity is really what I like about both amps.

"LH1000 produces satisfaction at a great price"
Sound:
The LH1000 sounds really good with my 69 Fender Jazz bass. In the 60s I had a fender tube amp and the tone of the LH1000 is similar but not as muddy as the tube amp of old. Owned it for several months and have only practiced with it so can not say how it would sound with a loud group. If you put the bass level way up it is so deep that it may damage some speakers and your ears as well.
Feature:
I played professionally in the 60s and 70s using tube amps like the Fender and Sunn 200s. Great amps but they hide any variance in the way you hit the strings. With solid state this stands out and I find that the limiter switch helps my playing sound smoother in volume and and approach.
Ease of Use:
I like a simple amp and this one does not have all those knobs and levers some of the recent models. I like the simplicity of the LH1000
Quality:
When I got it according to the owners manual the power is supposed to come on a few seconds after you hit the switch. The power on my amp comes on 30 seconds later which might be frustrating if you are waiting at a gig to start to play. It seem constant so maybe the manual is wrong. I do not have the money to have a backup amp so unless this thing starts to act up in the future I will only have this one amp for gigs.
Manufacturer Support:
I called the company about the power switch issue and they gave me the number and name of a local shop that would look at it.
Value:
Great bang for your buck.
The Wow Factor:
This piece of gear meets my needs at a great price and I like the sound. It was a practical addition to my setup but I am please so far.
Overall:
I expect to have this product for a long time. Even if I come up with the cash for an expensive tube amp, I hope I can use the LH1000 as a back up amp
