"Six String Wrecking Machine!"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Sound:
The 3 DiMarzio Pickup combination of Air Norton at the neck, True Velvet middle, and Tone Zone at the bridge make this the most versatile guitar I have ever played. This thing can go from percussive chunky power chords, to Stratocaster snap, to warm, round bluesy leads, to searing screaming leads like nothing I have ever played.
Feature:
I personally love the hardware on this instrument. I like the stouter feel of the knurled volume and tone controls. I also like the positive snap in of the tremolo arm. The Edge Zero tremolo stays in tune extremely well.
Ease of Use:
This guitar has everything I need. Although I primarily view it as a shredding machine, it is so versatile and easy to get nice clean tones out of it thanks to the pickup combination. One other nice touch is that Ibanez provides a well written detailed hard copy owners manual, which I appreciate. Action is fast and smooth, love the Wizard Prestiege neck. If you like a wide, thin neck, this is best one I have played.
Quality:
Every aspect of this guitar is quality, from the finish to the fretwork. I have played and owned Gibsons, Fenders, Jacksons, and while they all have their strong points, none of them has impressed me right out of the box the way this one has.
Manufacturer Support:
Haven't needed support yet, sio I can't rate this category objectively.
Value:
Tis is without doubt, the best value for my money I have ever spent on a guitar.
The Wow Factor:
Very good aesthetics, looks as badass as it plays and sounds. I have the Galaxy White finish, beautiful flecking in the finish, the white looks really sharp with the black headstock and maple neck.
Overall:
This guitar will replace my others as my main axe due to its versatility, and because my primary genre is hard rock and metal, where speed and power are needed, this one does it better than any of my other shredder guitars.
