"The Ibanez S470DXQM is a great mid priced guitar that may not make you a better guitar player but will make it fun to play to be"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
I guess the features would be: Maple neck, Nickel plating, ZR tremelo system, Quilted maple brown charcol finish (Gorgeous), lightweight, Binding around headstock and neck, Nice S-inlays, Large spaced frets (larger then I'm used too!) All features were machined perfectly.

    Quality:
Body = Mahogany + Quilted Maple, Neck = Maple + Rosewood, binding, plating, electronics + ZR tremelo system. Treat it like a fine instrument or new truck and it should last a long time. Treat it like a Fender squire or 1978 pickup truck and it won't last or look good.

    Value:
I'm a hobbist woodworker and the materials and finish on this are worth the money. Mahogony + Quilted Maple + Maple + Rosewood and electronics + ZR tremelo system + Labor. You can't build it for this this price. Well, you can but it won't come out as good and it will take you about a year. I bought this guitar for $475.00 US at one of the big music store chains. It was the last one in the chain and was new in the box. So new, I had to stretch the strings and set the adjusters and locks for about 1/2 hour before the instrument would stay in tune. (Either this instrument was in service for a while or just in from Korea.)I played the guitar, checked it head to toe, and played it some more before I bought it on the spot (unlike me). The ZR Tremelo system holds tune almost perfectly everytime I use. I may only have to tweak the G,B fine adjuster once in a while when I go really, really nuts with the trem arm. (amazing!)

    Desirability:
I've had the guitar for about a month now. It's a nice looking guitar made out of wood thats stained reddish brown with a glossy finish. The neck is natural maple. It's not: Bright blue?, Ugly purple?, Orangey Amber or Dully grey? or Black...? It just looks like nice wood. I'm always checking it out even when I don't have time to play it. No regrets.

    Sound:
I originally wanted to buy a fender strat but, the strat seemed dated and didn't have a tremelo system I liked. I wanted the single coil sound with the slim feel and the IBAS470DXQM achieves this. It's lighter and sleaker then the fender. The pickups on this guitar do not feedback like my 1978 Ibanez Les paul. Although, the humbuckers on the S470DXQM really don't achieve the classic Les Paul sound straight into my Marshall. But, with a custom effects box, RP300 digitech, almost all sounds are achievable. The pickups do hold their own without effects.

    Support:
I noticed that it was not easy to email Ibanez comments or information. This is not a good thing to distance yourself from the customer. Maybe I missed something?

    Overall:
I'd replace it with an identical one. Why do you know something? Who stole it? What?!

"This is a great guitar. It has everything and more you should ever expect from any brand of guitar. It's the best guitar in the"

    Feature:
Even though it didn't come with any accessories. I bought them all on my own. Everything that it all ready had was great. the things that i bought were an Ibanez strap and some other great accessories.

    Quality:
As i already stated, this guitar is perfect. I wouldn't change even one thing. whoever thought of this guitar is a genius!!!

    Value:
yes. But it might be a little over priced becausse afterwards i did see it on the internet for about $425. but i was definitely saisfied with the guitar I got from your company.

    Desirability:
    yes. definately. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sound:
This is the best guitar i have ever owned. The sound of this guitar is clear and you can get in every note and/or chord easily. The sound is very expressive. It fits the style of my music perfectly, it can pretty much get about any music style you want to play, i think that is probably one of the best qualities that any guitar can have. You can play this Ibanez with with pretty much any other instrument. I am Ucing a 30 watt Roland amplifier. Personally i think those two go great together. I dont't think anything you do to this guitar could make it sound any better.

    Support:
They were very to reach. They helped me with everything that i wanted to know and they informed me on things that i didn't even ask about. they are great empoyees.

    Overall:
I am planning on getting buried with it when I am old. It will be with ME FOREVER!

    "Sexy Six String"

    Feature:
I think Ibanez should have opted for true DiMarzio PU's and it seem's that the cutout for the ZR Trem is to small to use the supplied intonation screw, I cannot truly intonate my strings without guessing and trial and error, hopefully Ibanez realize's this problem.

    Desirability:
Honestly it was the look that grabbed me of course, the totally sexy curves of Ibanez have always caught my eye, and the QM top is complete beauty.

    Sound:
The overall sound of the original PU's is great but I had recently upgraded to the Breed N/PU and a Tone Zone B/PU and am awaiting a Fast track 1 for the M/PU,They both sound AMAZING with full Mids and punchy lows with screaming high's, the tone of the mahogony body is distinctively different from the Basswood bodies of other Ibanez's, comfort is perfect and the neck is beutiful, the one draw back is the cavity space for the controls, not enough to have a push/pull knob set up to help split the four wire PU's that DiMarzio makes, overall a great Axe and I am glad I have made that purchase.

    Overall:
Two enthusiastic thumb's up, for what you pay for this axe today it is well worth the money.

"I just buy this one... IT'S AWESOME!!!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Quality:
Ibanez man... I need to say something else?

    Value:
This guitar really worth each dollar that I spend on it!!!

    Desirability:
I buy the guitar in natural fade color... it's so beauty!!!

    Sound:
This guitar have a very very good sound!!! It's very different from the other solid body guitars that I had. Maybe the pickups don't have all the sustain that I expected... Probably i gonna change the mics for others like the DiMarzio Air.

    Ease of Use:
This guitar have a lot of sounds, I think that you can use this one for every kind of styles, really. The Zero Resistence bridge it's just amazing.

    Support:
I don't need to call to the support line... for now.

    Overall:
This guitar have all that I expected from it and more...
