"When your tired of the same-old-thing...GET THIS!!!"
Feature:
The True-Duo humbucker adds that little extra to the normal H-S-S configuration. The SAT pro bridge is great. Works smooth. Nice design.
Quality:
I'm very impressed with the quality. This is my first Ibanez purchase. I've played many in stores and always though that they were well made guitars. Fret work is perfect. Finish is flawless. The factory setup was also spot on. The electronics are of seemingly good quality and have no issues.
Value:
Excellent value.
Desirability:
As mentioned above, this is my first Ibanez purchase. I've been playing and buying guitars over 25 years and have owned most major brands. I was looking for a Strat type guitar without breaking the bank but didn't want something ordinary. I spotted this guitar in a store and spent some time playing it through a wonderful Carr Rambler amp. I thought I would think about it but got maybe 15 minutes down the road and turned around and went back and purchased it. No regrets. Exceptional quality, lightweight and fun to play. The tones are inspiring. I am finally an Ibanez convert!
Sound:
Sounds fantastic. I bought it more for the single coils, which sound as good as more expensive Strats that I've owned or played, but the True-Duo humbucker is quite versatile and musical also. I have NO desire to change the pickups and that's saying alot for a guitar in this price range.
Ease of Use:
Plays like a dream. The vibrato is smooth. The neck feels great. Not an overly shredder type of neck, which is nice.
Support:
Haven't dealt with Ibanez.
Overall:
This could easily be a "10" but I'm trying to be subjective. No, I haven't got to compare it with a vintage Strat or a USA Jackson or anything like that. I've played plenty of guitars to know whats good and whats not. This is a nice axe!
