"Fills any bar I've been in!"
Feature:Solid, light, easy to put up on stands... Grilles are a bit less than I expected - could have spent just a tiny bit more and had something much more solid and secure.
Quality:
Griles are the only component I am not completely happy with. They protect the speaker, but aren't as secure as I would have expected.
Value:
If I had it to do again, I probably would. If I were to build a second rig, I would seriously consider the Eon G2 15" powered speakers in lieu of the 1500's and an amp.
Desirability:
My whole rig is black and chrome. These just look sweet - fit in well. Regular speakers look like a Volvo - boxy, safe. These look a bit more, well... dangerous.
Sound:
Pretty awesome - not quite the bass I was hoping for, but then, hey... that's what my sub is for. I knew this before I purchased - not a disappointment. Works well for DJ & Karaoke - a bit better for music than live vocals, but still very respectable. Nobody else around can compete.
Support:
If I **EVER** have to deal with those (*EDIT*) people at JBL again, I hope it is through the scope of a hunting rifle. 5 days of trying to get in touch with someone who could answer a few technical questions I had, and all I got were ignorant front-desk types. "They're in a meeting." "They're too busy." and my favorite: "They aren't on the clock until 8:00 a.m." (at 7:55!!!). I burned out all of the standard 4-letter words in the English language, and had to make up some more trying to deal with these people. I actually had to get the people at Mackie to answer my questions. Mackie knows customer service! *note... I'm not actually unstable and going postal - the threat isn't real - but you support guys at JBL do suck. Expect a very nasty "Dear President of Customer Service" letter.
Overall:
These work great - for me and for the few friends & colleagues I know that use them.
