"INCREDIBLE DRIVERS ON A COMPACT SPEAKER, THE BEST I'VE HEARD IN ITS CLASS"
Sound:
It was amazing. We used it in a club in Baton Rouge, and the high end was remarkable. Very crisp and clean, yet not harsh. Maybe the best tops I've ever heard in a club situation in a decade or so.
The sound company had ample amount of amperage, which made a big difference but this is an incredible step in the right direction for musicians. COMPACT, POWERFUL, YET VERY NICE SWEET HIGHS.
A bit pricey but I don't think you'll be blowing these drivers.
Anyway, the experience was awesome, I could hear my voice from the stage for the 1st time in this room and it was crystal clear, and my ears are a bit burned (don't let that comment blur my feedback on this speaker), after 30 years of live music. Bottom line, best new product I have heard this year.
Feature:
Not sure how many horns/drivers, but, it made the high end sound like it was not being maxed out, very clean and smooth. Not sure if thats the best way to articulate it, but, you get the idea.
Ease of Use:
EASY, AND THEY STACK VERY EASY. The look was cool, they are set up on their side, not straight up and down.
Manufacturer Support:
I've owned JBL in the past and found them to be very fragile, night after night. The horns blow easily, in the past, and they can be tempramental.
But, when it comes to low end, in dance clubs, they are amazing. I can't wait to use the bottoms in a club we play on the beach every month or so, its a massive sound.
Value:
Its comparable in price to MOST UPPER END EQUIPMENT.
The Wow Factor:
would be awesome to own and make the band sound so much better.
We have YORKVILLE ELITE TOPS AND BOTTOMS which kill, but, the high end on the Yorkville don't match up with this speaker.
That being said, I love my yorkville Elite speakers. Wish I could afford the JBL tops though
Overall:
IF SOMEONE STEALS MY YORKVILLES, I'LL BUY EM.
