I am very impressed with this practice pad! I wasn't expecting much from a $10 pad, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and features this little pad is sporting. The no-slip material holds fast on just about any surface, the knee strap is sturdy and secure (and long enough to fit around my big fat leg!), and there's even a threaded insert for mounting it to a stand! The practice pad is mounted at a slight angle on its backing block, which is very close to the angle that my snare drum is set at, as a result, this practice pad has a very natural feel for me. The pad material is fine for my needs - it's fairly middle of the road as far as hardness goes, not too soft, could be just a bit more firm, but I'm certainly not complaining. One little con, they call this a 6" practice pad, actually the rubber surface is 5", the total diameter is 6" - I would rather the rubber surface be 6". All said and done, I'm thrilled with my purchase, and I reccommend this practice pad to anyone looking for an inexpensive, and versatile practice pad.
