Sound:

Well, it doesn't make sound but how quiet is it could be rated 10!

Feature:

The most useful feature is how I can also test the charge in random batteries lying around the house, not just in my gear. It is much less of a hassle than putting the battery into something to see if it works.

Ease of Use:

It is completely simple to use when plugging it into gear. Hooking up a loose AA battery takes a little dexterity but is doable.

Quality:

It is pretty hardy and takes its abuse in my tool drawer.

Manufacturer Support:

The manufacturer is super helpful with issues and exchanges in my experience. Definitely friendly.

Value:

So worth the value since it pays for itself in saved batteries in no time!

Overall:

If it does wear out at some point or is stolen, I would buy another one but so far it is useful, small, and hardy. I don't know how it compares to other products because it seems to be the only product of its kind and is much simpler than trying to rig up some voltmeters. The only thing I wish it had was a description of what the abbreviations on the screen meant somewhere on the unit since I ripped the list opening it.

"The Probe Needs Work!"

Feature:

Great notion! Test batteries in hard-to-get-at, maybe even have to take-the-strings-off places. Even tells you how many hours left on the battery. We're talking "best thing since sliced bread" category.

Ease of Use:

Execution--not so good. I have a - Taylor T5--couldn't get it to work at all - Rainsong DR1000--couldn't get it to work at all - Blackbird Super OM--*see note - Composite Acoustics X--*see note *you have to keep putting the probe in at different depths to find a sweet spot where it will give a reading. I even noticed it matters if you give it a little tilt--one angle on the CA X and the battery reads low, another angle and it reads lots of hours left.

Quality:

Seems to be constructed well enough for what it is. I mean, I wouldn't need it made any sturdier--especially if it would jack the price up considerably.

Manufacturer Support:

Don't know. Just emailed them today with my concerns.

Value:

Well, if it works on your stuff, it's a 10. If it doesn't, it's a zero.

The Wow Factor:

...but I want it to work more plug-n-play.

Overall:

I hope they fix it...or that someone else comes out with a similar product that works better.
