"Fantastic and Functional Practice Device"

Sound:

I find the quality of the drums and simulated amps/effects at least through Audio Technica cans better than my Digitech pedal. The drum machine does not sound as tinny and fake as Digitech in my opinion. The phrase trainer audio is also damn good, but it records at the same volume as the auxillary input device.

Feature:

Functional phrase trainer was the main reason I bought it, although the new Pandora is much better in this aspect. The device is fairly durable and the setup of the device is relatively intuitive.

Ease of Use:

Does have a bit of a learning curve for the extraneous features, but everything else is fairly intuitive and simple.

Overall:

The Pandora will meet my current goals as a practice tool currently, and I will most likely upgrade to the newest Pandora as I continue to improve my abilities.

Sound:

The sound of this unit is great. It's near studio quality.

Feature:

The best part of the unit is the ability to edit the stock programs to suit your needs. You can acquire just about every tone available, from vintage to modern. It comes loaded with tons of drum tracks; a metronome; adjustable tempo, etc. The phrase trainer is the only negative point. You won't be able to achieve a flawless loop. However one nice touch is, you can run a 3.5mm jack from the output of the unit, to the line-in input on the back of your sound card, and record straight to your computer. (immediate mp3) When you record this way, your recording will sound studio quality. I have also run it through the aux input on the head unit inside my van, and it sounds superb. It does not, however, sound good if you try to amplify it through a bass amp.

Ease of Use:

Read the manual; in 20 mins you'll be jammin.

Quality:

Plastic. But just about everything is. Sooooo

For what it can do, and, with what you can do with it, it's worth the money.

The Wow Factor:

I practice with 2 other family members who are musicians. Space is limited. So this is simply perfect for me.

Overall:

This unit will be my go to for practice and personal enjoyment. It's mobile I can pack it up inside my gig bag and go anywhere. There not much else out there that can do what it does. I'm extremely happy.

Like a band in a box! Wish I'd purchased one long ago! I find myself jamming for hours and losing track of time! The built-in drum and bass patterns are the heat!
