Style of Music: rock, jazz, blues, surf, swing, etc.

Experience: semi-pro, playing my whole life, drums and vocals.

"Korg TM50 metronome"

Sound:

The click is fine, but I'm using the backlight and pulse/tap light regularly.

Feature:

The backlight with sweeping needle and pulse/tap light make this a great tool for playing live. The ease of the tap means i can use it during count offs without shifting buttons or menus.

Ease of Use:

Very easy. You'll want to play around with the buttons/manual, but there's nothing to keep you from using this real-time live.

Quality:

Seems very well made, given it's plastic. Just don't drop it.

Manufacturer Support:

n/a, but hey, it's Korg.

Value:

Well worth the price. This unit seems to be the price point to hit a backlit metronome. I'm not currently using the other features, like tuner and tone generator. And I didn't need a recorder feature, like the newest edition from Korg.

The Wow Factor:

I say wow. Used it live already, and just buy a small camera bag to transport it.

Overall:

A nice, compact, backlit metronome for live playing situations
