"A worthy purchase..."
Feature:
It's a good controller, is ultimately portable, has a decently piano playing key action, and moderate but useful editing and loads new OS and sounds. All very good features and for under $900. CAD, the price was right.
Ease of Use:
I had to have the manual open fairly quickly after getting it but perhaps regular Kurzweil users would be more familiar. it's reasonable I would say.
Quality:
The edges of the keys feel a bit sharp and the mod wheel, though nice and firm, squeaks. As well the keys can go alittle side to side (not affecting performance) and are a little short in length; those being my only gripes. Otherwise I am ready to take this board overseas. Otherwise it seems very sturdy and well built.
Manufacturer Support:
Haven't tried...
Value:
A solid value.
The Wow Factor:
The size of this unit sealed the deal. It looks great, sounds very good, plays well and is reasonably priced.
Overall:
The piano sounds are very good and play dynamically well considering this is only a semi weighted board. With updates available, the sound set, controller aspects, and it's portability, this is a unique keyboard that is pleasingly playable and inspiring.
