"Great amp for its value, excellent sound."
Feature:
The features, as I mentioned before, are awesome. The variety of effects and different channels is unbeatable. Also, the handle on the top makes transport a lot easier. 10/10!
Quality:
The quality of this rugged amp is great. It can be thrown in the back of a truck/car/van and won't take a scratch, unless something hits the back of the speaker. Ah, the speaker. It is a nagging problem that can't cease to pester me. The back of the amp is open-ended so the speaker is pretty vunerable. Also, another small yet annoying trifle, if your roadie/groupie/mom carries it with the knobs rubbing against their leg, the settings will kinda screw up. Yet, those "trifles" are nothing once you get used to it, and the amp makes up for that by its never-fading volume. I've played this amp for a number of years and still counting, and the volume hasn't faded at all. 9/10
Value:
The value of this amp is great. Even though the thought of 15 watts for 100 bucks or so might deter you, its 8-inch speaker is worth every penny.
Desirability:
I'm not really a person that cares too much about how my amp looks, so I'm gonna have to dish out another 9 for lack of knowledge on the subject. The hard plastic case with well-designed panel board, the metal knobs, the general rugged look make it more appealing to me, but i know some people think it's downright ugly, so this category really depends on the person's perception. 9/10
Sound:
The sounds you can get from this amp are amazing. With four channels, six effects,(up to two effects at once) and more, you can get killer tones from dreamy clean, to sharp crunch, to insane pulverizing! In my experience I have never failed in getting the right tones from this little powerhouse. In addition, its volume makes it great for gigging. 10/10!
Overall:
I think I will be happy with the Line6 Spider III 15 for a while. The great effects, lasting sound quality, durability, and look are all I need for now. If I ever replace it, it will be for sheer volume, for a big concert or something of that sort. The only thing that could potentially be not so great is the fact that its kind of easy to bust the speaker by hitting it if you're not careful.
