"It's all in the tuning"
Feature:The small number of holes and lack of mounting hardware are one of the best features of this set.
Desirability:
I ordered my set with the optional vistalite snare...great sound, beautiful to look at and truely a modern classic.
Sound:
These are very loud drums with a great sound. They can be tuned to a variety of sounds that will blend with just about any style of play.
Overall:
I think it's only equal is the limited edition stainless steel outfit Ludwig is offering now.

"My father owns the originally produced vistalite amber set and I gotta say "wow"."
Quality:Sounds and looks great, never get bored of playing on that set love it to peices and would never let my dad sell it. Its rugged and has stood up to 30 years of use by more than one drummer and is still sounding better than most sets.
Desirability:
I want one so bad my dads kit is his but I want one just like it and the re-release of the "Zep" set lets me do that.....soon as I save up sum $$
Sound:
I give the sound an 8 because like I said my dad owns the 1975 edition of this set and time and multipul drummers in one house hasn't been to kind on it, but the kit still blows most kits away!! and it's like 30 years old. I'm sure if they make this kit as well as they used to it'll sound great for you too!!
Overall:
Great kit i've played for 6 years on my dads and friends kits and wow that set always stands out, and above the rest.

"GREAT DRUMS, Ludwig & Selmer Customer service is the worst I have ever seen."
Value:Over Priced
Sound:
Deep resonant toms. LOUD! This is a beautiful sounding drumset. Excellent live and studio drum set does everything I need it to do.
Support:
Ludwig is the worst company I have ever delt with when it comes to customer service. They do not even have a rep in Canada. They are only in this business to make money and do not care about the customer. 6 to 8 month delivery times on drums? Absolutely terrible. No Customer service telephone lines no sales or marketing telephone lines. E-mails go unanswered. Website Never updated. I work in the medical industry in sales and marketing and quite frankly Ludwig should clean house and fire the whole damn works. Shame on you Ludwig. Selmer should be equally ashamed for destroying such a fine drum company. Ludwig and Selmer have yet to destroy the quality of the actual product but it is comming fast. Who wants to wait 8 months for an overpriced drumset when you can buy an equal quality DW or Yamaha drum product. Is my rant done? Ludwig makes great product. As for there customer service? Dear Ludwig & Selmer, You will never get one more cent of my money.

Feature:the features pretty much sucked. i think it should come with the symbels to. although, it does come with all the hard ware.
Sound:
best thing you'll ever hear in your lifetime!!!! it has a beautiful amber color made with fiber glass. you will not find anything like this in your lifetime!!!! it also is reissued after the best drummer ever in the world, john bonham,(Led Zeppelin). who would not want to use this kit. once you hear his famous moby dick drum solo, youll stare at him with your chin dropped to the ground. i aslo recrommend the led zeppelin dvd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the song remains the same or the led zeppelin dvd!!! buy it flippen now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
