"Perfect for voice-over recordings at home."

Feature:
Accepts XLR microphone plugs, USB 1.1, windows XP drivers works with many sound applications, records, plays, quiet. I wish it could come with a vertical stand to save some space on my desk.

Quality:
Nicely built.

Value:
This box connects a professional microphone to your computer, so you can make professional voice-over recordings at home. For the price, nothing else on the market can beat it as of May 2005. You can always pay more for a unit that features midi and 24bit, but I don't need all that for my voice-over recording.

Desirability:
Exactly what I need and with in my price range.

Sound:
Sound quality is great with Rode NT1-A, a large condenser microphone. I record voice-overs with Adobe Audition 1.5, and the sound quality is very natural, crisp, and clear with almost no noise. Very low self-noise during recording and playback.

Support:
Very fast email reply from tech support. The company site has latest drivers and FAQs.

Overall:
Very satisfied.

"good for solo artists not needing mulitple tracks"

Feature:
It's pretty much just an I/O. Not a whole lot of features. The phantom power is nice to have, but maybe one more channel would have been nice.

Quality:
Good sound, nice solid design. small, compact, and light.

Value:
similar items cost close to 200 dollars more.

Desirability:
It was more of a "I need it"

Sound:
Very clean, but when gain is cranked all the way up, there is some noise in the pre-amp itself. This isn't to big a problem becuase I've never had to turn the gains up that much, because of the adjustable USB record level that can be set on the computer

Support:
Kinda slow

Overall:
I think I could definatly be using this thing for a while, up until I need more channels. Right now this thing is perfect for my little project studio, which pretty only records one, maybe two tracks at a time.
