"BEST small monitors ever!!!"
Feature:I am soo surprised that these monitors has lots of protections like output current limiting so you can't ever blow them. I really like the RCA connections so I can hook it up easily to my recording gear and my PC too. Another thing that is cool is that when I want to do some mixing I can turn the bass switch off and when i feel like just listening to music like using them as normal speakers I can turn them on so the bass kicks in more so these monitors are universal.
Quality:
The build of these monitors are are exactly like higher end pro monitors like the color, MDF enclosure, tweeters and the woofer is made of Fiber Glass coating on the paper cones so they are light weight.
Value:
For the price nothing can beat it since most monitors like Edirols don't have have MDF enclosures and lots of protections like Output current limiting so you can't blow them.
Desirability:
If you are low in budget and you want great real pro sounding monitors get these since these has the same features and design as the higher end monitors that costs over $200. These are really compact and small enough to take it with you.
Sound:
I can say that this is the best affordable monitors I ever had since it really plays very flat and natural without effects. I can hear everything on my recordings like the highs are very precise and the mids are very clear and the lows are clear too. Of course these monitors are not going to have the bass as 6in drivers but for its size it really puts lots of natural bass.
Ease of Use:
I think it's easy to use since you just hook up the cables and plug them into your source and your ready to go. Its very simple to hook them up. Plus it even has as voltage selector so you can use these monitors in a different country.
Support:
I can say that it is easy to contact M-Audio for questions regarding the monitors. I even asked the maker of all of the M-Audio products and he explained everything about how these monitors work and how they are build.
Overall:
I can say that these are the best affordable monitors I ever had and I will be using them for long time until I have like over $300 or more so I can get bigger size monitors to make more lower end and that has more power. Other thing that amazes me is that the grilles are designed so that it truly sounds like there is no grille on them. So they are 100$ transparent.
