"Absolutely Blown Away"

Feature:
The stand is very easy to expand, also set up and tear down. They have bent feet at the bottom which help keep the drum from wabbling, since they are so top heavy on a stand. The rims are thicker, so tuning is a lot easier.

Quality:
No complaints.....GREAT quality. No dust particles under the lacquer, like I have seen in other drums before. I love the rubber feet, which enable the drum to be less slippery on hard floors and it also protects the drum from cracks if it's dropped or banged against the floor by mistake.

Value:
Great price....no coplaints. But I think the website should also stock their larger drums. I'm planning on getting those soon as an upgrade.

Sound:
The sound of these drums is great. I noticed that the rims are thicker than the other LP and Mountain Rhythm that I tried, so this enables me to tune the drum with less fear to break the hardware. I have used them in the studio and they sound and feel great. If you want to use them live, you may not be able to keep up with the volume of the band, but Meinl makes a larger version of the drums 11" and 12" instead of the standard 10" and 11" set, which have more volume and projection.

Ease of Use:
Not easy to play in all settings due to size, but perfect for drum circles, studio work, home practice and even club gigs as long as you have them mic'd. They are a bit lighter than most, so ease of travel is nice too.

Support:
I had to replace the small head once. When I took it out, I noticed that they have a model for the replacement head written right on the edge of the drum shell, so when I called Meinl they confirmed that I had the right model number. They did ask me to contact a dealer to get me the replacement head, but they walked me right through the process and were very helpful.
