"Not useful for my solo gigs."

Sound:
I had high hopes for this product. I was looking for a way to NOT have to bring 2 guitars to a gig since I like to use a whole-step down tune on some songs I sing. I listened to several YouTube presentations of it, and it sounded great. So, I ordered it. It is constructed very well--sturdy. It is straightforward to use. I wondered what it would sound like using it with an acoustic, since you would surely be able to hear the regular pitched strings. I didn't get that far. Using it with solid-body electric, I thought maybe I got a bad one--I could still hear the natural notes from my guitar and, unless I was droop tuning an octave or a nice 3rd or something, it very dronish, very distracting. I played with it some more and found another shop in town that sold them and played one there. There was nothing wrong with the unit. I just could not NOT here the guitar's natural note along with the drop tune. I even played through headphones. I could still hear it. I was hoping to use it for solo gigs, so that would not work. I also noticed, even through headphones, when I could barely hear the natural notes/chords that the the drop-tuned notes/chords had a bit of a flangy or chorused sound to them. I did NOT, however detect any latency in the drop-tuned notes and chords. The octaves made for some interesting effects. Dropping down a full 12 steps, you could easily use your guitar to play bass--especially when recording. But the pluses weren't enough for me to keep a $260 pedal.
