Style of Music: country, soft pop

"Doesn't get much better than this for an inexpensive tube mic"

Sound:

The first thing I recorded with this mic was a mandolin on a bluegrass album. I wasn't all that empressed with the mic on the mandolin, but when I had the chance to record vocals with it...it SHINES! Very clean, crisp, and right on the money.

Feature:

This mic doesn't really need all the "features" of the more expensive mics. Works great right out of the case. Although the case is somewhat "cheezy"...but what would one expect for a $300 tube mic? It does come with nice mogami cables and a decent power supply and shock mount.

Quality:

By far the best $300 I've ever spent on a mic.

Manufacturer Support:

I emailed the manufacture with a couple of questions about the tube (life expectancy, etc). They quickly answered and said the tube should last for years...but if it ever failed to send it back and they would replace the tube for free. Can't get much better than that.

Value:

Easily ranks a 10 on value.

The Wow Factor:

Will definately be getting another one...maybe more.

Overall:

I expect this mic to last me for years in my studio.

Out-mo-fo-can-standing!!!

Feature:

No frills, but with this thing I can live with out them.

Quality:

really well put together, the case is kind of chincy, and better lit would be nice

buy a dozen or so, for what some of the other tube mic's out there cost...

once you record with one you're not gonna want to go back
