Marshall 1974X Handwired Guitar Combo Amplifier (18 Watts, 1x12 in.) Customer Review
Sound:
Simplicity.......sound........perfection!
Feature:
not being much of a knob twiddler, it's nice to have an amp that sounds great no matter where you set it.........low volume (below 3 or so) is clean enough to do country stuff with a Tele.....louder settings just rock more...... no parametric EQ or in/out or tap switches or any of that crap to contend with.
Ease of Use:
Turn it on........play........nothing else required
Quality:
this amp is beautifully assembled, sadly there was an issue with the mains & output transformers......mine failed after roughly a year, it appears almost all of them do......however, the amp has a 5 year warranty so replacement was fairly quick & painless financially....
Manufacturer Support:
Marshall seem to have the problems with the transformers sorted out.....at least for me.....
Value:
it's expensive.......no doubt about it........but that sound makes it all worth it
The Wow Factor:
it's gorgeous......
Overall:
This amp, along with my Mesa Boogie studio .22+, are the two amps I can't imagine ever getting rid of
