"Best amp in the price range,"
This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.
Sound:
I have been playing guitar for over 40 years and in the past 20 I've been playing almost exclusivley acoustic, though I have an SG Standard, a Les Paul, and an ES-335.
These days my primary acoustic guitars are Taylor 710, and a Martin DC 16GTE. I had been playing the acoustics through a few small pratice amps and my Marshall AVT 150.
I finally decided to get a real acoustic amplifier for small gigs and acoustic/electric jams with freinds. I looked at the Roland, the Crates, and the Fishman, but none had as true reflection of what my guitars sound like than the Marshall. That was my goal to find an amp that would actually reflect what my guitars sound like and not need a lot of tweeeking to get a natural sound. The others I tried where flat in comparison and really not true to the ring of a nice acoustic guitar. I have been told I should have tried the Fender DSP 30, but for the money I am extremely happy with this small amp.
Feature:
Only one thing missing that I noticed on another amp in the same price range is a delay. So I guess that might drop it to a 9 here
Ease of Use:
Very simple to use even without looking at the manual.
Quality:
Very solid construcction as all Marshalls and good looks.
Manufacturer Support:
Having had four Marshall amps in the past I've never had to use customer support, so I;m guessing that I won't need to bother here either. But if I do I will update my review
Value:
Honestly in the price range I don't think it can be beat, and I do not feel your paying for the Marshall name as you do in some other products.
The Wow Factor:
Again after hearing it compared to several amps, and a few that cost as much as $200.00 more I think it's a very desireable amp
Overall:
I'll probably keep this amp, and maybe buy another in the future, so I can have both guitars ready to go.
What would lead me to buy another product? If I found something that sounds better.
I bought this amp, because it was the most natural sounding acoustic amp I found after spending over two hours playing other amps.
This amp brings out the best of my finger style material.
If it where stolen I would probably buy another, but I would look around to be sure that there wasn't someting else that I thought reflected the sound of my guitars more accurately.
What I like least about it? can't think of anything.
