"Great classic distortion"

Feature:
You get pretty much. There is Gain and Volume control and four band EQ, with Deep, Bass, Mid and Treble. This distortion is pretty bassy when you compare it to many others. With Deep knob you can add some extra bass and low- end thump, but don't turn it up too much, or the sound will become too bassy and dull. EQ is very useful thing, but it's hard for a beginer to figure out how to use it. For me, it took months before I learned how to make it sound cool, but it worthed the time.

Quality:
Made very tough, the shell is of high quality metal. Jacks are also metal, and button is made of brass. If you take good care, this pedal will last you till' your grave. But, the pots have plastic shafts so don't stomp on them. Also, watch for stones or broken glass in your shoes, they can ruin it's pretty face. After about nine months mine got few scratches and knobs are a little faded. Otherwise, it's like new.

Value:
Worth its price.

One of the coolest looking pedals out there. 'Nuff said.

Sound:
It is a real classic distorsion. Great overdrive and mild distortion sounds, works wonderful on classic and hard rock(Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rush, AC/DC,etc.), it isn't the best solution for heavy metal, but you can play some early Iron Maiden and Judas Priest stuff and sound deacent. It maybe doesn't have enough definition and gain for HM-style riffs and leads, but has plenty of bass, great sustain and preserves a natural sound of your guitar - when you hit a chord, you get a chord, not a noise. With different setings you can achieve different sounds- you can cut midrange to get heavier dist, or boost it for bluesy fat leads, you can experiment with different gain levels, etc. The sound depends greatly on amp you use, it seems to sound best on old Marshall tube amps.

Overall:
It fits my needs perfectly. It's made tough, sounds great for my playing stile and looks beautiful. It was my first distortion pedal and I'm gonna use it for a long time.
