    "MGHDFX100 Half Stack--------MG= MARSHALL'S are GREAT!!!"

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
This amp has a few bit of features, but it's not really about features. The effects are only useful for clean, glorius nice sounding playing...the footswitch as always is sweet, and the CD input is sweet! It sounds really good to if you want to jam or play it between sets.

    Quality:
It's made beatifully well. Sorta takes you breath away when you take it out of the box.

    Value:
No need to go blow your money on a different amp cause of tubes. This gives you any sound you want.

    Desirability:
All of the legends have played this...you'll get laid right after the gig baby!

    Sound:
I think that the sound of this thing is unbeliveable! Don't listen to people when they tell you this thing sucks because even if it is the low end Marshall...it doesn't matter. Who cares about tubes...they cost money. Solid state is the way to go! You can still get the same tube sound with this amp if that's what you want...otherwise, this thing kicks ass! It's versatile for any kind of music except bad music. (lol)

    Support:
Same day has such good support...I could get ahold of them when i wanted, where, and I could track my package. Awesome.

    Overall:
I may upgrade one day...but not for a very, VERY long time. I don't have any complaints really...

Marshall MG Half Stack Customer Review

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Feature:
Its great it features a lot of settings and the foot switch is great with all the effects and stuff. Its amazing! I got it in Silver/Grey its beautiful.

    Quality:
Great product for quite cheap =]

    Value:
It could have been cheaper, but its still great.

    Desirability:
    BEAUTIFUL

    Sound:
This thing is pretty awesome it takes a while to get the sound that you want, because the settings aren't easy at first, but you do it and learn a lot. Also it can go very loud I turned it up half way and you could hear it 2 blocks over. I haven't turned it up other then that so I won't break it. The sound is pretty great though good sound.

    Ease of Use:
    Very easy.

    Overall:
This is a great amp, unless you can afford a mesa or orange or hughes and kettner! I am normally not a marshall man, but its great play it.

"The MG half stack series is cheap, affordable, good looking and easy to accustom to your settings as soon as you begin using it."

    Feature:
Flanger, Chorus, Delay, Delay w/ Chorus. These are the effects on the head. I use two out of the four if I'm lucky. The foot pedal only has 2 buttons and you have to manually change the setting of the effect or else when you change to the DFX channel you will be playing where you last left it.

    Quality:
Overall I would rate this MG series with an 8. So far it is a very reliable half stack, I would and have taken it out on shows, and believe that this half stack is going to last me a good amount of time.

    Sound:
When first purchasing this half stack I was a bit skeptical about its durability. At first the distortion sounded like crap! I was angered by it, my lead guitarist sounded much better playing with a crate AMP! After a few days I began to tweek the sound and add more gain and crank the master. Many of the reviews I read about this half stack says not to raise the master more than half way, well I'm here to tell you that if you do that nothing will happen to your gear. Take care of your gear, make sure it is wiped down and if you never fail the fan, the fan will never fail you. As far as the fan making funny noises, I had one incident where it made a funny noise but there was a T-storm so that is a logical explanation. This half stack series is the most affordable of the Marshall's and it pulls threw at all of my shows. If you are playing a venue that mic's your equipment there is no need to crank your master more than half way, let the sound guy take care of it. You will get a disgusting sound. IMO, this half stack series can play just about any genre of music. I for one play in a death metal band with this amp and its great. To get a good metal distortion make sure you fool around with the settings, especially the CONTOUR.

"A GOOD BUY FOR THE MONEY AND WORKS FOR ALL OCCASIONS. WORKS WELL IN GIGS!"

    Feature:
The head has plenty of features ranging from the usual clean to overdrive options plus clean/crunch channels and two overdrives and plenty of Digital FX.

    Quality:
I just bought it but i am from the looks of it it seems very sturdy and my guess is that it would take a hard thump to kill the cabinet or head. The cabinet speakers, due to other beliefs, wont blow from loud playing.

    Value:
This is a great value at what it is selling for. Save alot of money.

    Desirability:
Will it may look plain but when you just look at its large body and gold plate you cant help but foam at the mouth.

    Sound:
The sound is good yeah. I mean i ahve heard better in the other higher up marshall amps such as the mfs and jcms but for the money this amp is great. This is my first half stack and i am very happy with it.

    Support:
I have never dealt with the marshall companys tech support but i have heard nothing but good stuff.

    Overall:
For the value i definetly beleive you get what you pay for on this half stack. Good sound quality, completely gig-able and for practice when you gotta keep it on the low down. The cabinet is nice and powerful. Lots of great fx such as reverb , fx lvl, effects loop mix and FDD. And with the CD in and emulated line slots you can easily hook this thing up.

    "DUUUUUUUUUDE ITS A MARSHALL!"

    Feature:
Footswitchable channels. I like not having to wory wbout effects pedals when im just at my house, the DFX can get you through the day pretty well.

    Quality:
Are you kidding me? Its a marshall and marshall amps kick some serious a$$. i have dropped various parts multiple times and the worst that happened was a couple scratches.

    Value:
a great sounding half stack for around half as much as amps that are not much better.

    Desirability:
i already have it and if i could find the $ for another one i would buy it

    Sound:
Great overdrive and clean channels. The only half stack that i've played that sounds better than this was a marshall ModeFour that cost twice as much. Overdrives can sound kind of tinny but if u turn up the bass it sounds great. Great classic rock sound with FDD turned on.

Marshall MG Half Stack Customer Review

    Sound:
Very good amp, from Zeppelin to rockabilly this one's got it all. The controls are up on the top of the head because if you only have a half stack, they're easier to see. The delay is awesome. I play a '74 Strat with humbuckers and Schallers in it and it sounds great. I like a simple set-up with just a few effects. The only other effect I add is a wah pedal. The chourus/delay is also very good. HAven't played out yet with it, but it should hold it's own.

"Gives you the Zeppelin sound that you want!"

    Feature:
Good Effex. Easy to use, but could have more effex.

    Quality:
Gives that famous OD that Marshalls are known for. You can hear this amps sound through Led Zeppelin's music and your own. Great amp to boost your sound to that next level when you are reaDY FOR IT!

    Value:
A little expensive, but so is everything else you buy in this world!

    Desirability:
It's appeal is okay. It's a little short to make people get "exited" when they see it. If you want appeal buy the full stack, that's twice as big and very loud and cool!

    Sound:
Cheaper! Cus the less money i have to spend the better!

    Overall:
I probably wont buy another amp for a long time after this because it will take me a VERY LONG TIME to gt enough money to buy something better.

    Feature:
The features are great. it came with cabinet cables and the footswitch for turning the effects on and off

    Quality:
This is a marshall its made with top quality like any other marshall.

    Value:
This is a great price for a marshall half stack.

    Desirability:
It has that nice Marshall Sex Appeal.

    Sound:
This product sonds great im mean if u cant afford an all tube marshall this is your best bet. It sounds great for playing punk and indie rock. the built in distortion sounds crisp. Im playing a 1959 gibson les paul reissue and it sounds great almost as good as my Marshall 1959 slp head. In order to get the best sound follow the suggested settings. And just mess around with it to get your own original sound.

    comes with efffects. They suck.

    Quality:
Hell its a marshall. Prolly some of the best built amps out there

    Value:
pretty terrible value for what u get here. i mean $600?

    Desirability:
i would vote "0" just because it says marshall doesnt mean its a great amp. If you want a marshall, i'd save for a dsl 50 or dsl 401. Both tube amps, and both great sounding

    Sound:
Hey guys. I own this amp and if you're thinking about buying it, i wouldn't. There are better amps for the money. You can get an amazing tube amp for the same price. A fender hot rod deluxe and distortion pedal is 10x better than this amp. I would suggest getting that or something with tubes in it. This is okay for first timers but if you're going for your second or 3rd amp, look elsewhere.
