"Beware! You need to read this!"
Feature:Who knows? It's a plug-in that doesn't work as a stand-alone. Unless you have everything that it requires, including a spare port for the obnoxiously large dongle and tons of space for all the sounds that come with it, you're s.o.l. But of course, you won't know that until after you've bought it because there's NO MENTION OF THIS ON THEIR WEB SITE.
Quality:
You can't even tell if it's working if you it doesn't run with the set up you have.
Value:
Since it cost me $400 and I can't use it, I'd say it has not only no value but NEGATIVE value.
Desirability:
I was really looking forward to this, based on the general reviews I read. It looked great. And I wouldn't be nearly upset if I had gotten ANY help from support, and SUPPORT, instead of attitude. Or if they'd just done their research and updated their web specs. How f'ing hard could that be to do?
Sound:
I'll let you know when MOTU actually releases a version that is playable on an Intel, which may or may not happen in this lifetime. Oops! They forgot to menton it isn't compatible with Intels anywhere on their web site or the web in it's entirety! Sorry! Well, you didn't really need that $400 anyway did you? And maybe it'll work SOME day, right?
Ease of Use:
Impossible, because I can't make it run, because it isn't compatible with Intels.
Support:
Here's the real kicker: Ok, so I have to take the blame for buying something that isn't Intel compatible, I should have just known better, even though there's NO MENTION OF IT ANYWHERE ON THE MOTU WEBSITE OR THE WEB IN GENERAL, right? Fair enough. And of course you can't return opened software, right? Fair enough. But get this, the support guy actually got smart with me and said, "Well it never said it WAS compatible with Intels, did it?" Thanks a lot, that's a GREAT way to do business, pal.
Overall:
Buying this product did one thing--it taught me that there are a whole lot of people out there who have no idea what they're doing and not to trust them, because MOTU doesn't give a heck once you've bought their stuff. And that's showbiz, folks. I'll just know not to go to them again, and I'm making sure I let others know about my experience, if I can.
