"Windows? Sonar 7? RUN AWAY!!!"
Sound:
The sounds on this product are good. They are better than the sounds that come with products like Reason. They are even better that other poducts near this price point. However, many of the samples (especially various stringed instruments) have clicks and pops and thuds in them making certain notes usless.
Feature:
This product has a decent range of sounds, nice reverbs, and an easy to use keyboard trigger system.
Ease of Use:
Easy to use, a pain in the "butt" to install and run. NO MANUAL, and the version that comes in the box is 1.0, even if it says 1.1.1. You must download the latest version. They do not tell you this anywhere in the box.
Quality:
How could Motu make so many mistakes and not fix them? I will never buy from them again.
Manufacturer Support:
It took them several days to get back to me when I first got the product, to let me know I had to download the beta 1.1.3 version to work with my Dual Core processor. That was a year ago and they still haven't even made version 1.1.3 an official patch.
Value:
Since I upgraded to Sonar 7 this product no longer works at all. It only works in standalone mode. What a flaming turd this software turned out to be.
The Wow Factor:
It was affordable, looked good on its video samples, and completely failed to deliver. When it was working it made pretty good sounding music. Now I am putting it up on ebay.
Overall:
How can a company start such an ambitious project and then just drop it cold turkey? Its not like this is thier only product. Do all of Motu's pluggins run this poorly? I'll never know because I would never buy another one of their software products ever again.
