"Just play one and find out for yourself!"
Sound:
For a lower end guitar, this thing sounds amazingly good. Plug into a small accoustic amp and add a little EQ and it sounds like a $2000.00 guitar. Without an amp, the sound is just as good. Sweet and open without a lot of top end. This thing plays very well too, with no need to have it set up. I've used this guitar live and it comes through the mix clearly and without sounding muddy or covered up.
Feature:
Hey, you get what you need to play and sound good. It's put together very well and the craftmanship is of a more expensive guitar. The color is outstanding, the neck and frets are very good. The EQ works well with an amp or straight through the PA.
Quality:
Made extremely well. I borrowed the one I've used live, so I've never dealt with Ovation. The fit and finish are way beyond the price. Very reliable live and never gets picky about the rooms, never any worries about anything other than broken strings. I use one on the road often...enough said. Worst aspect? None...Seems like it will last a long time with nothing more than basic maintenance.
Manufacturer Support:
Can't help with this one, as I've never dealt with Ovation, but the guitars owner has. Says they are behind their products 110%.
Value:
Actually, I'd pay a bit more for a guitar of this quality. Compares with more expensive models, but without the cost.
The Wow Factor:
This guitar is fantastic...period. Lookes excelent, plays even better, looks good on stage...what more needs to be said?
Overall:
Why look anywhere else? For the money, you can't beat this thing with a stick. I'll eventually own a couple of these myself and will play them till they litterally fall apart.
