"These are the best. Glad they still make them and haven't screwed them up over the years. Nice to have something still there you"
Feature:Best is the replacable basket. I have a spare one and it has sat in its box for years. It is like insurance. As long as I have it I probably won't ever need to use it.
Quality:
These are some Peavey products that they still make like they did back in the 1980's. I have a 1985 Peavey CS 800 that still rocks. First time in the shop last month in 21 years and all it took was $53 to fix its problem! Can't complain about that. Also have an old Peavey XR600B and a XR 400 powered mixers. Both of these have been dropped of trucks and pushed to the max! Black Widows were designed and built during this era and still deliver. Don't know if new Peavey products do but hopefully they do!
Value:
Can't beat these for the money and the durability and the sound quality!! I also had a pair of Black Widow 12inch monitors years ago. I was a moron and traded them. I would kill to have them back now!!!
Desirability:
Just loaded two cabinets with the 1505-DT's. Took out the crappy original speakers. These rock now! Push it to 11 man!!!
Sound:
I have worked around Black Widows since the mid 1980's. It takes a lot to kill one of these, and they sound great! Whoever said they sound mediocre doesn't have a clue what he is talking about!!! They sound as good as a Mackie or any other high end speaker plus you can abuse the hell out of these beasts!!
Ease of Use:
Just drop it in and hook it up. Pretty simple. Gotta screwdriver? All you need!
Support:
I will rate it high because I never have had to call them! LOL.
Overall:
Like forever??
