"Forget the SP Series Save Some Money Here!!!"

Sound:

Speakers sound perfect. I only have 400 watts going into each cab and barely with any volume from the mixer and they bang.

Quality:

They look enormous when they get out the box but are more than ease to move with the wheels and they are lightweight.

Manufacturer Support:

Anytime i've used Peavey before they helped immediately.

Value:

Excellent for the price. A set of theses sound just as good as the SP Series, so if your not consistantly doing large shows a set of these and a Peavey SP2-18 will get the job more than done!!!

The Wow Factor:

Woulda liked it if the grill color stayed Red like last years model, because the blue just doesn't look right.

Sound:

these speakers sound alsome, even better with a kosmos. they are 1000 watt program and I am pushing 1200 watts thru these with a crown amp, the more volume i give my mixer the better the sound crisp and clear.

Sound:

These speakers really kick. I DJ all types of events with varing types of music. I use a pv2600 amp to push them to 900 watts but when I added a 882I sonic maximizer and a 6200 beringer dual 31 band EQ , WOW what a difference. If you were not looking you think there was a live band playing and I don't have to push the speakers as hard to get more sound out. The good thing about the 6200 is that it has a mono sub output that really makes the subs kick harder and at the same time. I love these speakers but may upgrade to the sp6's.

Feature:

I really like the casters for moving them around and the only reason I give them an 8 is that I wish it had come with speakon connections.

Ease of Use:

Everything is very easy with this product. Just plug them in and let it ripp.

Quality:

I have used these for about 2 years. At first there was a problem with one of the crossovers and I keep loosing the high frequency on one speaker but the warranty and Hames music in south carolina took care of the problem very quickly and offered a backup untill we were sure the problem was solved. I have not had any problems since. The cosmetics of the speakers are tough and have held up very good. The speakers still look new after 2 years but I also take very good care of my equipment and clean it after every use.

Manufacturer Support:

I have not had to contact the company because Hames music took care of my problem that I had promptly with no fuss or hassle.

Value:

The product is worth the selling price and with new products coming out, the price of these have dropped somewhat from the original price which makes them a great deal.

The Wow Factor:

I wish that it had the Peavey emblem on the front grill. Other than that the speakers really look great.

Overall:

I expect to keep these speakers untill the sp6's prices come down a bit but I still plan on sticking with Peavey and will probably keep the djs4's as backups.
