    "CHEAP DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN BAD."

    Sound:
I tryed the bass in the store with the stock roundwound strings on. It's sound was good. Theres only about three sounds you can pull from it but what do you want from a 200 dollar bass. When I took it home I did a set-up job on it and installed GHS Brite Flats, which are ground round wounds. They are smooth like flats, tonally like flats, but sustain like rounds. Boy! Did this bass get a personality of its own! It's not good for funk or smooth jazz but it's great for rock, metal, reggae, punk, motown, ect. The sound is thick and and deep with a great presence. It's got that rubbery/clack/thud sound, the strings justified this bass terrificly. Heck I like the way it sounds better than my Marcus Miller Jazz bass and that was a $700+ bass. Cheap doesn't necesarily mean bad, sometimes you get lucky with a product like this. It's passive so it doesn't have the sizzly tinny highs, but who needs them when you have all this bottom and low mids. You will probably have to do a set-up. Tweaking the truss rod, changing strings, adjust action and intonation. But like I said what do you want for two fazools! The extra work is well worth it.
    Feature:
The tuners are not the best but I let my bass sit for three days without playing it and then threw it in the back of my buddys station wagon and went to a gig on a hot humid day, Guess What? When I attempted to tune it up all the strings were in perfect tune and the flatwounds on it are stiffer than rounds with more tension. The tuners aren't fancy but they do work fine. The bridge could be better but thats just my prefrence because I am anal when it comes to bridges but the stock bridge hasn't given me any problems.
    Quality:
For a $200 dollar bass it is a ten. Only the OLP music man is constructed better inthis price range but the pick-up on it isn't as loud as the ones on this peavey.

    The Wow Factor:
    Thats why I bought one.
    Overall:
I will probably buy another bass only because I like variety, but if I only had this one I would be happy with it.

"Incredibly low price for a bass this good."

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Sound:
The tone is SO CLEAN! You can play ANYTHING with it. Jazz, rock, blues, punk, metal....It's simply beautiful. I've never heard that quality sound in a bass that was priced this low.
    Ease of Use:
This bass practically plays itself. You can get great speed with this one. The neck is INCREDIBLY smooth.
    Quality:
This is a tough bass and it holds it's tuning really well. The quilted body is a dream. I may buy other basses in the future, but I'll never really need another.
    Manufacturer Support:
I haven't needed any so far.
    Value:
Worth every cent and WAY more. I can't believe I payed so little for an instrumet this awesome. I've played on much more expensive basses that didn't have nearly the sound quality or ease of use this bass has.
    The Wow Factor:
THIS BASS IS GORGEOUS. It looks and sounds beautiful, there's not much more to say.
    Overall:
It's a great bass that I would recommend for anyone. It's perfect for beginners and has what it takes to impress pros as well. Whether it's your first bass or you're just adding to a collection, simply BUY IT. I promise, you will not be sorry.

Peavey Millennium Bass 4 Quilt Top BXP Electric Bass Customer Review

This reviewer purchased this item from Same Day Music.

    Sound:
I have been a guitar player for the last 20 odd years, and this is my first bass. Just trying to expand my musical abilities. This is a really nice bass for a really nice price!!!!
    Feature:
It didn't come with a custom case. What is up with Peavey, are they not making custom cases anymore? I owned a t-60 guitar 20 some years ago and it came with its own custom case.!!
    Quality:
I find that where it is attached at the neck and the body, I am wondering if the softer Basswood body isn't too soft as the neck can be motivated to bend quite easily where it is attached at the body.
    Value:
yes indeed. I thought it would have run a lot higher in price by the looks and feel.

"Peavey Millenium 4 BXP.....A winner in my book!!"

    Sound:
Amazing sound played through a 50watt peavey bass amp, ive been playing some blues and it really gives the sounds a nice tone, but then also sounds nice and beefy for some metal...
    Feature:
Solid alder body-string through with a maple neck and rosewood fret board, the neck is incredibly smooth and nice to play and the alder body gives great resonance.
    Quality:
Cosmeticaly its stunning, i own the blue finish one, the fittings are nice plain black that complements it well and altogether well put together.
    Value:
Easily worth alot more than i paid!
    The Wow Factor:
THe quilt top really shines through and is amazing.... and the deep blue tone is stunning
    Overall:
I can see me playing this for quite sometime....!
