"Best bass I ever played!!!"
Feature:It came with a rather cheap chord, and two hex drivers, but no strap. Other then that, I got what was expected
Quality:
This bass was made very well. Everything looks and feels secure. The finish is even better then it looked online. I have owned it for 4 days now including 3 gigs, and have gotten several comments on it.
Value:
Other basses that are similar to this run at $500+. This is a VERY good bass for the price!
Sound:
This bass can make almost any sound a bass player could want. You can make a deep, full tone for that low rumble; or you can tweak the tone knobs and get that "ping" for popping and slapping.
Ease of Use:
The right tone (for me) was easy to find. I was able to dial it in withing a minute or two of playing it. Once everything is adjusted properly, it is one of the easiest basses to play that I have come in contact with.
Support:
I haven't had a need to use tech support and hopefully never will.
Overall:
Overall this is one of the best basses for the money. Are there other basses out there that are better? Sure, but they'll cost twice as much and probably don't look as good either. I would like to play the active version, but I didn't want to dump out that much money just yet.

"The Peavey BXP- a great 5-string bass!!"
Feature:The only thing it comes with that I'm aware of is a truss rod wrench. It has a beautiful quilt maple veneer top and is available in some stunning colors. It is equipped with basically what you need to get down and dirty in any musical category.
Quality:
A very solidly-built instrument, it lives up to Peavey's reputation as fine bass-builders. My friend's BXP had a problem, though- when he changed strings on it the nut broke. (He made a new one out of plastic that worked.) Other than that, I wouldn't worry about taking this anywhere or gigging every weekend with it.
Value:
This bass is well worth its average price, even more. If you can pick one up "on sale'" it's a steal!
Desirability:
The Peavey BXP is drop-dead gorgeous, with slick finishes & colors, and as noted, the quilted-maple top is sizzling! That low-B string REALLY growls!
Sound:
This is one fine sounding thumper for the bucks. With the right amp, you could use it in any setting or venue under the sun-a friend of mine uses it with a 120 watt amp w/15" speaker and it really gets the job done. A set of Rotosound or D'Addario strings help it sound even better.
Support:
Can't say about the support- I helped my young friend do the necessary work on it and he didn't need to call the company.
Overall:
This bass would be hard to beat in most categories, especially value. It is excellently built in most respects, and will surely serve you well wherever you play, in any musical style.
