"Who Knows? The Pig Nose!"

Feature:
The 7100 doesn't come with accessories but that was perfect since I had all the other equipment & cables I needed.

Quality:
One of the hinges is mounted slightly out of plumb and creaks when the lid is opened. However, it's certainly not a showstopper and (at least from my perspective) adds to the unit's charm. It's built like a little brick and the speaker doesn't skimp on magnet weight. Together with the engaging all-metal pig snout (trademark?) volume control knob, these characteristics inspire confidence in the heard but unseen electronics.

Value:
Can't compare with many other products but the price from what I've seen & read in user forums is very competitive and unerlies what appears to be a good product reputation.

Desirability:
All I can say is, after buying & using the 7100, 'who couldn't love a Pignose?'. The color (leather brown, ***not*** black), its steamer- trunk-in-miniature appearance, the weight, the interior liner and, of course, the polished, cast-metal pig snout volume control, could find a corner in even the most battle-hardened heart.

Sound:
Am using the 7100 for a wireless electronic varmint caller. The sound volume and frequency range are ideal for use in (literally) the field. I tried only one other, smaller portable amp from Radio Shack but needed more dB and rugged build. The 7100 has the features I need and no more. Sufficient sound power output, good mid-frequency delivery, only one control (volume) and one line-level input, both readily accessible from the front.

Ease of Use:
If you have even the most basic idea of what you're doing, the 7100 is about as intuitive and simple as it gets. It adapted instantly to a wireless receiver & performed flawlessly, exceeding my expectations. It also did very well i.e. better than just 'satisfactory', when I used it briefly with a wireless mike.

Overall:
I see no reason to plan a replacement. Even if I go to another varmint calling method, the 7100 will remain in my tool box for use at wedding receptions, parties, in-the-field training sessions, wireless music delivery unit & who knows what else? This little unit is a workhorse with which I'm well pleased.
