They just don't last as long as i believe they should!

Value:
They really shouldn't be priced as much as they are. 15 little dowels for $20??? Nahh!

Sound:
The sound these produce are great, if not playing to quiet. If you want that "thwack" sound, play with your normal playing strokes. Otherwise, you'll just hear the Dowels smacking themselves! I've tried other types of "soft stix/hard brushes", but these do have the better sound and "real feel" appeal!
