    "An everyday piece of equipment"

    Feature:
the XLR input ofr the mic is a good choose, sometime with a jack, the input level trend to be too low. the in-built effect are a plus, even thogh I don't use them, the work pretty well and have the quality of some standard effects box.

    Quality:
it has a good finishing product, I particulary like the dark color of its, because it keep it look new longer than a bright color. This product has very easy and visible screws, which allow us to change broken pieces if there is. on the road it will be a resistant tool.

    Value:
worth the quality of the product

    Desirability:
as said before the aesthetic of the product is good for me.

    Sound:
this piece of device is very good for any kind of performance. the sound quality is at least the level of the input, in other words, if you play vynils you can be sure that your sound won't become strange of awful. I'm a hip hop DJ and this products it's good for club and mixtape recording. some of the mixers specialised on scratching gain a lot on mobility of the cross-fader, but at a price of a sound quality. good for a standard recording.

    Support:
difficult to answer to this question on this product. I did ask for pioneer's services and they were very helpfull.

Pioneer DJM-500 DJ Mixer Customer Review

    Feature:
Plenty of cool features, however I don't use most of the effects. The BPM counter seems to be pretty accurate, it's good for quickly ball parking the pitch of your incoming record.

    Quality:
The mixer is fairly well built, not as sturdy as the Rane.

    Value:
Pretty good value for the price, better to shop around. Wouldn't pay over $900 for it.

    Desirability:
Visually this mixer looks pretty good.

    Overall:
Over all I like this mixer alot, it's effects are easy to use, and the EQ knobs are well placed. My only complaint is that there should be a cue pan on this mixer. My previous mixer was the Stanton RM-80, the cue pan came in handy when cueing up the next record, good for matching the high's. Other then that great mixer, would recomend it to anyone.

    "Think before you buy....."

    Sound:
first of all, don't get this mixer if your not going to be hooking up at least 4 inputs, it's a 4 channel mixer, duh...most dj's don't use 2 turntables and 2 cd turntables...most just use one or the other, if you want the effects then get the effects box, but the djm 300 will work just fine...........the knobs on this mixer tend to break alot, crossfader is not built for hip hop and rap mixing, in otherwords it can't take a beating unless your going to use this mixer for techno, trance, etc...it's alright as far as the crossfader goes...
